This directory contains the most recent releases of the Windows Development
Library (WDL) and the associated demonstration programs.

The file WDLyyvv.ZIP contains the Comet Windows Development Library (WDL).
Included in the WDL are USE files necessary to generate a "Windows aware"
MTB application. A Comet application developed using these files can have
the ability to create, display, and control Windows style Dialogs, Menus,
and Controls using the MTB compiler.

The file DLGyyvv.ZIP contains sample MTB program source code that demonstrates
many of the dialog/control features associated with the WDL.

The file DMWyyvv.ZIP contains sample MTB program source code that demonstrates
additional miscellaneous features available in Comet for Windows.

Because the DLG, WDL, and DMW directories now include additional
sub-directories, you must include the -d parameter when un-zipping to ensure
that the original directory structure is restored.

DLG9804 Maintenence Release. No significant feature changes.
DMW9804 Changes to DES demo programs dealing with initial (FF). Added
additional lower resolution bitmap (PWMARK16) for PWMARK DES to support
300 dpi printers. Added DES program PTRFNT to allow automatic selection
of system fonts 0, 1, or 2 during printer open.

05/19/98 - Update to WDL, DLG and DMW directories. This is the stuff that was used
for demonstrations at the developers conference. All sources from now
on will be released in text file format only. The Comet COPY program
can be used to generate CED compatible files.

IMPORTANT: Due to a misunderstanding, the specification for printer font
height as specified through an MTB program (lfHeight$ = ) was using 10ths
of a point instead of 20ths. This has been corrected and requires code that
specified 10ths to be changed to 20ths and the use of an updated version
of COSP (COSP231x.ZIP). Please note changes made to demo programs in the
DMW directory.

02/24/98 - Introduced another directory that will contain miscellaneous windows
only demo programs. The DMW (Demo-Windows)directory has been created to
avoid confusion by separating general purpose demo programs from the
dialog/control programs that normally reside in the DLG directory.
- A new "metafile" feature has been added for dialog/control program
developers that will cause commands to be cashed for faster display
times. Check out changes to "DIRECT" in the DLG directory and new
test programs "MFTEST" in the DMW directory.

02/04/98 - 504.224/Comet98.224 Maintenance Release. A few added features plus the
fix to a bug intoduced in the 224 release.

12/17/97 - Maintenance Release to eliminate confusion regarding newly
add "CED" directories. If you want to continue using CED
to edit your Windows source code then download the files
WDL9707C.ZIP and DLG9707C.ZIP. If you want to use a plain
text file editor then download WDL9707T.ZIP and DLG9707T.ZIP.

09/10/97 - Windows printer support
- "DIRECT" program (formally "ONWIN") demonstrates new capabilities:
Changing "View" window font
changing control font
displaying bitmaps in a static control
Note: see new WDL9706 for additional features.
- Current and previous Document files can be found in the "DOCS"
sub-directory of of the WDL and DLG directories.

06/23/97 - New program "DLGDEMO" manages other demonstration programs.
